Radix Nutrition to fuel Tennis NZ's Davis Cup and Billie Jean Cup teams

  • 2 min read

Tennis New Zealand and Radix Nutrition have joined forces to offer the most advanced, complete nutrition solutions on the market to tennis players of all levels, from elite pros to everyday club players.

Radix Nutrition is a proud Kiwi company, using cutting-edge science at its Waikato based manufacturing facility to create products that meet the nutritional needs of elite athletes and busy professionals alike. The product range includes nutritionally complete meals and breakfasts, ready in just 5 minutes, alongside the best protein and recovery drink products available on the market.

“We’re excited to partner with Radix Nutrition to support our aims in having players reach the top levels of professional tennis” says Tennis NZ High Performance Manager Emily Carter.

”Nutritional deficiency is a real issue for sportspeople, often when players are traveling or staying away from home, they simply don’t have the options available to them to maintain a well-balanced diet. Knowing they can trust Radix products to give them what they need is a huge advantage” says Carter.

Radix has become an official sponsor of both the New Zealand women’s Billie Jean King Cup and men’s Davis Cup teams, competing in international teams’ competitions in July and September respectively. The partnership will include branding on team uniforms and on-court events, as well as provision of products to support the players in their preparation.

As well as supporting elite-level players, Radix will also offer tennis clubs the opportunity to generate more funds via a club affiliate program. For selected products purchased by a club member from Radix’s online store, 15% of the purchase value will be donated back to the club.

“We love partnering with innovative, New Zealand based companies such as Radix. With something to offer for players at all levels, and the chance for clubs to earn some revenue, it’s a win/win.” says Tennis NZ Chief Executive, Julie Paterson.

“We’re proud to announce our partnership with Tennis NZ” says Radix Nutrition Chief Executive, Mike Rudling. “This partnership further demonstrates our commitment to strengthen the capabilities of world-class athletes and sport. With tennis, a sport that puts a lot of strain on the body, our advanced meals and recovery drink products will ensure athletes perform at their best, across all levels of the game, whoever and wherever they are. This partnership will also serve as a testing ground for our future personalised nutrition capabilities, improving the metabolic health and performance of each individual athlete.”
